Scholarship Opportunities
The Jody Loudenslager Memorial Scholarship is available to any college-bound or college student who participated in the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association (PREA) Youth Tour. Applicants must furnish necessary aptitude test scores and financial need information.
At least two $1,000 scholarships in memory of Jody Loudenslager are available through the PREA Scholarship Trust Fund in Memory of William F. Matson scholarships for each year.
Important dates to remember: All applications and required information must be received no later than May 6, 2020. Finalists will be sent a follow-up questionnaire that must be returned by June 12, 2020. Scholarship awards will be announced at the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Summer Meeting in July.
The Glenn English National Cooperative Leadership Foundation encourages educational advancement by awarding higher education scholarships to students who have shown a commitment to the Seven Cooperative Principles.
Youth Tour Alumni Scholarships
For any Youth Tour alumni working on their first undergraduate degree program
- One (1) $10,000 scholarship (distributed in two $5,000 installments)
- Four (4) $1,000 scholarships
Engineers of the Future Scholarships
For any student (do NOT have to be Youth Tour alumni) pursuing careers in rural engineering fields
- Two (2) $2,000 scholarships
Important dates to remember: Application opens on Dec.14, 2019. Deadline for all submissions is Apr. 1, 2020. Winners will be selected mid-July, 2020.
